After leaving Seattle, we stopped in Boise for a few nights to unload some weight and then headed back to Three Island Crossing in Glenn’s Ferry for the April Grand Design Owners of Idaho Meet Up.
There was an even bigger showing this time, I think the final count ended up being 32 trailers.
Here’s a mosaic of some images we took from the gathering:
We had a meet and greet Friday night, and then a bunch of us headed to the nearby winery for a wine tasting on Saturday, followed by a huge potluck dinner.
We got to see some new faces and some old ones, and a special one in particular. I ran into my recently deceased Grandfather’s nephew and his wife. He had been at the funeral, he even sang at it, but I didn’t fully recognize him until Nate pointed him out to me. What a small world. They have their own Grand Design Solitude fifth wheel, complete with full body paint, like ours, and are working their way toward full timing in it. They will be spending this summer in Alaska!
Three Island Crossing in Glenn’s Ferry is a really neat place, especially in the Spring and Fall. Lots of space between sites, and there are multiple double wide/occupancy sites if you need the extra space to park your rig and vehicles (or your friends!). We probably won’t make it back to the next Meet Up in October, as we have other ideas for our plans, but we will probably come again next Spring.
