I originally had this at the bottom of the prior blog post, but I thought it deserved it’s own space.
A month or so before our arrival in Boise, we saw an upcoming get-together for Idaho owners of Grand Design products that would be held in Glenns Ferry, at Three Island Crossing State Park.

This coincided with our planned stay in the area, so, we reserved a spot.
Three Island Crossing is a really neat place to stay. There’s a winery, a golf course, and nearby Glenns Ferry has pretty much everything you need.
Almost all of the spots on our campground loop were taken by other Grand Design owners, and it was fun meeting other folks. We participated in a really nice meet and greet, and a great potluck dinner. We also offered up our trailer for a “parade of homes”, allowing people to come in and take a tour. We were able to show our modifications and upgrades, and answer a lot of questions. The solar install garnered a lot of interest.
Nate and I visited the Crossings Winery, and we also smoked pork butts to make pulled pork for the potluck dinner.
We are hoping to be able to join another meet and greet here in April of next year, to see people that we met again, as well as new faces we didn’t get to meet this time.
We’ve now seen one of the really neat reasons to buy a Grand Design trailer, and that’s the community.
We are now back in Seattle for the winter!
