It’s now been about five weeks since our solar system was completed. We’re currently plugged into shore power in Seattle, staying here for a couple of months to avoid the heat and help my dad on a couple of projects. We’re also doing some fishing. On Kayaks!
But, backing up a bit…
After we finished the system, we decided to boondock at a few places to test the system out. With the courtesy of a friend, one of those places ended up being behind an internet service provider, Fiberpipe, in Boise. We had shore power on hand if we needed it, and were able to stay there for almost two weeks. It was a great place for internet for Nate’s work needs, and we were able to spend some time catching up on other things set aside while we were working on our project. We also had some fun with drones.
Here’s some miscellaneous pictures we took one night:
Here’s a small flyover video, too!
We were also able to finish up Mica’s after surgery care and physical therapy. She’s doing great!
I also personalized the bedroom a bit using a decal kit:
While we were at Fiberpipe, ChillDude came by and interviewed us and our solar install. He’s been doing awesome nature videos for a while, but is now venturing into the Vlog area.

He said we should be able to expect to see our video in a few weeks here:

So keep your eyes out!
System test done, and Memorial Day weekend on the way, we decided to pack up and head to Montana with Nathan’s folks. That post coming soon.
