This memorial weekend, we went out with Nate’s folks to celebrate one last quiet weekend with the old trailer. We decided to head down to Duck Valley Indian Reservation, which is on the border of Idaho and Nevada. Its south of Bruneau, which in turn is south of Mountain Home. This is probably one of the last best weekends to come here during this time of year, as after this it starts getting too warm and the bugs become quite a bit less tolerable.
There are big fish to be had out of Mountain View Lake, which is where we were staying. Here’s Nate’s mother, Nancy, with a big trout she caught:
Before we left, we had talked about getting a drone for this blog. A way for us to record places we go, and have some fun in the process. What we decided to purchase was a DJI Mavic Pro. It’s really surprising how much this thing flies on it’s own. As a techie, and a model airplane fan, I’m just flabbergasted by the technology in this small package, and the ease of flight.
After this trip, we’ll be cleaning out our Wind River travel trailer, and getting it ready to be traded in on the new fifth wheel. We’ll miss some aspects of it, but we can’t wait to move into our new home.
I’ll leave this post with a small gallery of some shots we captured with our new toy:
